A Couple That Frags Together…

I was always fascinated by the beauty of salt water tanks, but the thought of cost, maintenance and upkeep in having one kept me from ever pursuing that passion. It wasn’t until my wife purchased a 46-gallon tank and told me to ‘give it a try’ that I actually dove into the hobby. Little did we know that that tank was just the start to where we are today.

Over the past 20 years, we’ve evolved from our one and only 46-gallon tank. What once was a mostly fish only tank has now become a fish and coral addiction. That first tank is now a fresh water tank that my wife raises guppies in. She also has a 29-gallon angel fish tank, a 20-gallon guppy breeder tank and several 10-gallon tanks. I currently have a 50-gallon reef tank, a 10-gallon nano tank, and an 80-gallon frag tank. Whew! That’s alot of tanks!

We have learned a lot over the years when it comes to saltwater tanks, mostly what not to do. Every day seems to bring a new adventure, whether it’s watching our frags grow, or determining what new pest we acquired or just maintaining the correct water parameters. It amazes me just how much there is to know when it comes to reefing. New and different issues arise all the time.

This has been a joint adventure for us. We’re here to help other reefers and aquarists pursue their passion of keeping a saltwater/reef tank by sharing our journey and experiences of the hobby.

…Stays Together

And here we are. We met back in 1997, got married in 2001, raised 5 kids together (his, hers and ours), and now are proud grandparents of 10 grandkids. When we’re not at work or cleaning our tanks, we enjoy cruising, camping or just relaxing in front of the tv streaming Netflix. Together we make a great team, we’re best friends and now co-bloggers of this blog.

We would love to connect with others who share in our passion. Follow or find us here:
